The hiking trails of the famed Adirondack Great Range are minutes away, with many additional trailheads within easy driving distance. The crags of Keene Valley are celebrated for their rock and ice climbing, and the backcountry of the High Peaks region provides endless miles of cross-country skiing and snow shoeing for the winter enthusiast. Our newly restored bed and breakfast now includes nine comfortably appointed guest rooms, seven with private baths.

Relax after a day in the woods by the massive fireplace in the main lodge room, curl up with a good read from our library in the music room, or take in the fresh mountain air on the wraparound front porch.

The Keene Valley Lodge Bed & Breakfast (formerly the High Peaks Inn) was built in 1910 as the grand private home of Fletcher Beede, the prominent local landowner and builder who had recently completed the construction of the St. Hubert's Inn, now part of the present-day Ausable Club. After Fletcher's death, his widow Katherine and daughter Marie decided to open their home as a small Inn known as the Beede Cottage, in order to accommodate the many visitors who came to Keene Valley for its dramatic mountain landscapes and serene pace of life.
